MY STORY

In 1996, I graduated Magna Cum Laude in Architecture from the University of Tennessee. While in school, I had an opportunity to spend a semester abroad studying architecture at the Politechnika Krakowska in Krakow, Poland. After the semester, I was able to tour Europe, which developed a passion for travel. Searching for new experiences and seeking out beautiful inspirational places has greatly influenced my designs. I am fortunate to continue and share that passion for travel with my husband and two daughters.

I have worked in Knoxville, TN since 1997, interning with Brewer Ingram Fuller Architects and when licensed working as a project manager for 7 years with BarberMcMurry Architects.  After the birth of my second daughter, I was ready for something new. Upon learning about the mission of the East Tennessee Community Design Center (ETCDC) to provide free/low cost design services to nonprofits and community groups for projects that service the whole community, I volunteered and later became Studio Design Director for 13 years. At ETCDC, I oversaw all aspects of over 400 DesignWorks projects that benefitted communities throughout the East TN region. My work with ETCDC allowed me to listen closely to clients from all walks of life and learn about their specific needs while considering the budgets that had to be maintained.

Throughout my tenure with the ETCDC, I continued to develop my own built projects and now I am excited to focus on developing my own firm. I want to collaborate with clients who desire creative and thoughtful solutions to their projects. Whether I am designing a residence or developing a new commercial building, my goal is to create aesthetically pleasing and livable spaces.
